JAKARTA — Hundreds of personnels from the Armed Forces and Police Force will be deployed to secure the trial of convicted terrorist Aman Abdurrahman taking place at the South Jakarta District Court on Friday, June 22. South Jakarta Metro Resort Police Chief Senior Commissioner Indra Jafar say there will be at least 408 personnels, including 40 from the Armed Forces and 378 from the Police Force.
The security detail will consist of four rings surrounding the South Jakarta District Courthouse where security will be extremely tight. “A number of personnels will be equipped with full armory to avoid unexpected things,” Indra said in Jakarta on Thursday, June 21.
Abdurrahman aka Oman is said to be one of the people involved in the terror bombing at MH Thamrin Street, Central Jakarta, on January 14 2016. He underwent his first trial on Thursday, February 15 2018. Aman became a highlight after rumored to be as one of the negotiating materials for the terrorist demand in order for them not to surround Brimob Headquarters in Depok, West Jawa.
