After much anticipation, the South Korean boy band BTS officially arrived on the Grammy Awards red carpet and, as expected, did not disappoint. It was a big night for the group: They were nominated for their first Grammy for Best Recording Packaging; their album, Love Yourself: Tear, was filled with bops, so it’s no surprise that they got the nom. But of course, what would an award show be without some killer style, of which BTS has plenty to offer.
BTS has always #ShownUp for red carpet fashion (and don’t get us started on their music video lewks). The BTS army expected them to shine at the Grammys, and they did. All seven members of the group matched their outfits, each donning a well-fitted black tuxedo from Korean designers JayBaek Couture and Kim Seo Ryong. Some members opted for bow ties and others went sans tie, but each member of the group looked cohesive and fresh. Naturally, each singer needed a little personal flare, which they showed through hair color.
V showed up with pastel teal locks and Jimin rocked a pink look. Always one to embrace a bold color, RM slayed in a silver hue. As for Suga, Jungkook, Jin, and J-Hope, they chose brown and blonde looks, which were a little more relaxed than the others, but still eye-catching.
BTS’s stylish appearance left fans shooketh. The BTS Army couldn’t have been more excited to see them on the red carpet, and at the Grammys in the first place. One fan wrote, “You look so pretty…have an amazing time and I’m so proud of you,” and another said on Twitter: “They deserve it. Their happiness is my happiness.”
Ultimately, BTS didn’t win a Grammy, but that hasn’t stopped the group or fans from believing in their musical magic. Their nomination alone was a big deal, as it was the first Grammy nom for any K-Pop band. It’s only a matter of time until they’re winning every award possible, and that’s the tea.
