An armed group robbed Rp 811 million ($60,000) from a money changer in Kuta, Bali, on Saturday (04/02).
Three men carrying handguns robbed the Dirgahayu Valuta Prima money changer in the Segitiga Mas shopping center on Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai at around 11 a.m., handcuffing and ducktaping the mouths of six staff at the office.
The men stole Rp 733 million in banknotes from a safe deposit box and Rp 78 million in various currencies. They also took away the office’s security camera server before leaving the place.
“We’re investigating the robbery,” Denpasar Police Special Crimes Chief Comr. Reinhard Habonaran Nainggolan said on Sunday morning.
The six office workers were freed soon after the robbers left. They were identified as Ketut Budhairdi, Putu Andika Putra, Nyoman Budiarta, Ida Bagus Putu Winda, Putu Tapa and Komang Budiarta.
